INTERNET ISSUES
Don't let a bad connection ruin your interview...
1. Record Using Riverside
If you are frequently encountering internet issues and you aren't already using Riverside, I would highly recommend checking it out.
Riverside records locally, which completely bypasses all internet issues in the final recordings.
Use my affiliate link and you will often receive your first month free: https://riverside.sjv.io/bOBBZm
2. Choose your recording location wisely
It sounds obvious... but try to record in a location with a strong internet connection. This often means moving closer to your router or using a wired connection.
3. Close all other applications
Close all other browser tabs and applications that you don't need. This will prevent them from using up bandwidth unnecessarily.
4. Enable "Pause Uploads"
Riverside has a feature called "Pause Uploads" which lets users upload their audio after the call has ended rather than during it. This frees up a lot of internet bandwidth.
In Riverside just go to: Settings > Studio Settings > Recording Tab > Tick "Pause Uploads".
5. Turn off video
If you are still encountering internet issues, try turning off the video on your call. This frees up even more bandwidth for the audio.
